How a Chicken Road run is steered
Each run has one verb. The notes below match the files checked on 12 October 2026.
Lean through a Chicken Road bale
Bale Roll rolls the hay on its own. Move the pointer, a finger, or A and D (arrow keys work too) to shift the hen’s weight. The weight keeps going after you stop, so the return lean has to start early. Grain off to the side asks for a longer lean. A stone on that side throws the same way. A fox at the verge punishes a lean toward it. Fall off, land crooked off a ramp, or touch the fox and the run ends. For the first 16 seconds a near-fall only flashes and clears the combo.
Flap down a Chicken Road silo
Silo Peck drops the hen inside the silo. Steer on the horizontal with a finger, the pointer, or A and D. Hold the upper part of the screen, Space, W, or the up arrow to flap; the flap slows the fall, it does not stop it at once. A swipe down, S, or the down arrow is a peck that speeds the drop and breaks a crate. Nails, a rat, a mill blade, or a sack from the fox end the run. A hard landing breaks the combo and does not end it.
Slash a Chicken Road cob
Cob Slash sends cobs, beetles and stones along arcs. Drag to slash. A short tap pecks in place. On a keyboard, aim with WASD or the arrows, hold Space to draw the stroke, tap Space to peck at the aim. A stone ends the run at once. Five misses (a cob, beetle or gold piece crossing the middle untouched) also end it. A stroke through three or more gives one miss back, up to five. Stones arrive after 16 seconds. Misses are not counted for the first 14.
